LaundryTree was born as we stood, baffled, in the laundry aisle of the grocery store. We were looking for a laundry product that fit our “laundry” list of requirements:

  • Something without dyes or perfumes, to accommodate a munchkin with eczema and super-sensitive skin
  • Something without too many suds, to accommodate our high-efficiency washer
  • Something with no harsh chemicals, to accommodate a persnickety septic system
  • Something without an over-inflated price tag, to accommodate… well, our under-inflated wallets.

Sure, there were a lot of choices… but nothing that met ALL of our requirements. We compromised and went home with TWO products to try that day, but quickly found that we didn’t like either one.

But we didn’t give up the search. When we found soapnuts, we were so excited! And when we started using them, we totally fell in love — because they meet EVERY ONE of our criteria above, PLUS a few more!

LaundryTree’s soapnuts are:

  • 100%, totally natural and organically grown.
  • Non-allergenic and chemical-free.
  • Antimicrobial.
  • Harvested in a sustainable way.
  • Better for the environment than traditional detergents.

We truly believe in soap nuts! We use them ourselves. We believe that they work, that they’re better for us than other cleaning alternatives, and that not nearly enough people know about them.
